Mark Ratain, MD Mark J. Ratain, MD, is the Leon O. Jacobson Professor of Medicine, director of the Center for Personalized Therapeutics, and associate director for clinical sciences for the UCCCC. He is an expert in the use of investigational agents to treat advanced solid tumors. He also has a special interest in pharmacogenetics — the study of how genetic variation affects the body’s response to medications.
Michael Maitland, MD, PhD Michael L. Maitland, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor of medicine and associate director of the Committee on Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics. He focuses on caring for patients with metastatic lung cancer and patients with different types of advanced solid tumors who are interested in experimental treatment. His research focuses on kinase inhibitors, a large and promising class of anti-cancer drugs.

Mani Sharma, MD Manish R. Sharma, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine and a member of the Committee on Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacogenomics. He specializes in the care of patients with gastrointestinal cancers and advanced solid tumors.
