Todd Golub, MD
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, Mass.

Dr. Golub is a world leader in understanding the basis of cancer, by creating and applying tools of genomics. He has made fundamental discoveries in the molecular basis of childhood leukemia, and laid the foundation for the diagnosis and classification of human cancers using gene expression analysis. He also pioneered the development of chemical screening approaches based on gene expression. His research is currently exploring the use of genomic laboratory and computational methods to study biological and clinical questions in cancer. An area of interest is the use of genomics methods for the discovery of clinically significant diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and potential new therapeutic targets. He is also developing methods to incorporate genomic approaches into the drug discovery process.
